NATURALS

This series explores the space between realism and abstraction, creating natural works infused with ethereal themes that are intended to be felt rather than literally understood. Using a combination of ink, watercolour and gouache, layered surfaces suggest form without fully defining it, allowing emotion and atmosphere to guide the viewer’s experience. Figures, objects, and landscapes emerge intuitively, hovering between recognition and ambiguity.

Rather than depicting the world as it appears, Naturals renders a sense of presence —memory, tension, and quiet transformation. Expressive gestural mark making, colour, and symbolism to evoke internal states and psychological landscapes. Each piece invites interpretation, encouraging a personal connection that prioritises feeling over representation, creating art that is both contemplative and visually liveable.
